BYRD Hair was founded by Chase "Big Bird" Wilson, a professional surfer and Newport Beach, California native, in 2012. Inspired by his great grandfather's hair tonic and barbershop at the Metropole Hotel in Fargo, North Dakota, Wilson sought to create modern grooming products reminiscent of the classic '60s surf culture.
