Seek & Swoon's Birifini Throw pays homage to mud cloth (or bogolanfini), a handmade Malian cotton fabric dating back to the 12th century made from woven cloth strips that are sewn together and then painstakingly dyed with fermented mud. Each piece of mud cloth tells a story through the symbols it displays. Birifini is the Bambaran (spoken in Mali) word for 'blanket'. If you're in love with mud cloth as much as they are, they hope you'll enjoy their celebration of this simple yet versatile design. Size: 30"x 40".

About the Brand – Seek & Swoon
Seek & Swoon, and their collection of knit throw blankets, was inspired by a love of design, home goods, and a two month European sabbatical owner Jala Smith-Huys took with her husband and two young sons during the summer of 2015. She returned home wanting to start a business that allowed her to preserve her travel memories through creating a quality product that everyone could enjoy and take pride in owning.

Jala is inspired by beautiful places and, in the biggest terms, the world—taking care of it, exploring it, and adding to its beauty. Seek & Swoon products reflect this: each knit throw blanket is made in the USA from recycled yarn. They've partnered with a second generation, family-owned knitting mill that’s just as committed to comfort, quality and design as they are.
