Heifer International knows that farming and food systems are key to solving some of the world’s biggest challenges. That’s why they work alongside local farmers and business owners in 19 countries around the world to achieve their mission of ending hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Heifer provides farmers and their communities with resources and support as they mobilize and envision their futures. Farmers also receive training so they can improve the quantity and quality of the goods they produce, and connections to market to increase sales and incomes. The locally led development model Heifer International employs is like teaching a person to fish – deeply impactful, sustainable, and empowering!
