The 2024 Harvest is here! Be some of the first in the world to enjoy the 2024 Italian harvest, express shipped straight from our collective of farmers in the hills just outside of Rome. (If you check the olive oil at your local store or online, you will see the only olive oil available is from 2023 – when we say you will be tasting some of the freshest extra virgin olive oil in the world, we mean it!)
We wanted to bring you the opportunity to taste the new harvest because the polyphenols and antioxidants in the olive oil are at their maximum right after pressing.
Along with the health benefits, though, this year's harvest is one of the best that Italy has ever seen. Throughout his lifetime living in Italy, Camillo, our co-founder, has never tasted olive oil quite like this.
In fact, if you pop over to Rome now, you will see people selling bottles of extra virgin olive oil straight from their groves for almost double the price of last year's harvest because it is just. that. good.
The Farmer's Olive Oil Box includes a 375ml glass bottle of our Classico, a 375ml glass bottle of our Riserva, a golden pour spout, and a handmade wooden box.
Both the Classico and Riserva are grown, pressed, and bottled by our collective of Italian family farmers in the hills just outside Rome.
Classico olives are pressed in November, months earlier than the big distributors. This creates an antioxidant-rich and high-polyphenol count of between 350 to 400 mg/kg. Typical extra virgin olive oil only has about 100-150mg/kg.
The Riserva is our limited-release, early harvest. When they are picked and pressed in October, Riserva olives have not yet reached peak ripeness. This means we can only extract a small amount of extra virgin olive oil – but this also means it is incredibly antioxidant-rich and packed with peppery, herbaceous flavor!
The olives’ concentration of polyphenols and antioxidants is the highest in the Riserva, between 500 and 600 mg/kg.

Libellula is a collective of family farmers in the hills just outside of Rome. Julia and Camillo founded Libellula to save small-scale Italian olive farmers who were abandoning their groves due to the challenges of climate change.
By coming together as a collective, we pool our knowledge and resources, working with our farmers to implement climate-resilient agriculture practices. This ensures each farmer has the support to keep their olive groves for many more generations to come – and share their exquisite extra virgin olive oil with those beyond just their small towns!
