The terracotta foundation of the steamer basket replaces the conventional bamboo base. This natural material has exceptional liquid absorbing properties, which means it can absorb any excess moisture generated during steaming and keep the food moist.

The steamer pot and lid are composed of fireproof ceramic, which resists heat better than conventional stoneware and is less prone to fracture at higher temperatures. The JIA Inc. steamer pot works in both conventional and microwave ovens and may be used on open flame gas burners. Large: (24cm diameter, 2.3L).
